IMPORTANT QUESTIONS
Is exclusive use of land important to you?
Why else would you spend money to join a club. If
you dont mind sharing land with strangers, save your money and just use
public land for your hunting, fishing, and camping. Since the club works on a
reservation system, we guarantee you will always have exclusive, personal,
private use, and never share your space with other members, on any land you
reserve totaling less than 500 acres.
Do you care if you have to share a duck blind
or goose pit with a total stranger?
Colorado Outdoor Sports guarantees you will never
be required to share your reserved duck blind or goose pit with other members.
Do you want to get the use of all the land
that you are paying for?
Colorado Outdoor Sports guarantees you will have
100% leased land available to you, for your use, which is leased by the club in
the states or areas you want to hunt, fish and camp. We do not lease land for
club use, which is not available to all members. We do not favor any members.
All members are treated equally, we do not have any privileged members. If your
dues are paying for the land, you should be able to enjoy the full use of it.
Do you want to avoid wasting your time
traveling to club land if they dont have the game or fish you are looking
for?
Colorado Outdoor Sports guarantees you will have
complete information available to you from all prior hunting and fishing
activity reported by our other members. This is what we call our Harvest
Reports. All members are required to report back to our office, within 48
hours of the time they hunt or fish, and let us know what game they saw, shot
and harvested, so we can keep track of game and enable other members to know if
the property has what theyre looking for before they go. Members are sent
printed updates throughout the year, and it is anticipated that current harvest
reports will be posted on this web site to get up to the minute information.
Members are welcome to call other members directly to get additional details
about their reports.
Our Harvest Reports enable new members to avoid spending years driving thousands
of unnecessary miles to become familiar with the club land. New members have all
available history of past activity and results for club land, starting with
their very first day of membership. Our decisions on whether to keep land or
adjust the value of leases is in a large part determined by the reports from our
members. Unsuitable, or unproductive land is routinely culled and replaced by
new land. Your time is valuable, we want to help you get the most enjoyment
possible from your limited leisure time.
Can you advertise and sell your membership if
you no longer want it?
Colorado Outdoor Sports guarantees you can openly
and publicly advertise your Lifetime Membership for sale if you no longer want
or need it. This has always been our policy. We dont believe it is fair to
members if they invest their money in a membership, but are prohibited from
advertising and selling it. While members often sell memberships to people who
were going to buy one from the club, we arent going to penalize our members
because we are greedy and want to block out fair competition. If a member wants
to put forth an effort to recover their investment, we support them.
Can you always reach a club employee if you
have a problem when the office is closed, including Saturdays, Sundays and
Holidays?
Colorado Outdoor Sports guarantees you will
be able to call a emergency number and reach the club manager for assistance
during hunting hours when the office is closed, if you are on club property
or in route to or from club land. Typical calls would be to report trespassing
in progress, ask for additional land to hunt, fish or camp, request road
emergency assistance, ask for assistance in locating properties if you
forgot your map, reporting found or lost dogs, etc. Youll be able to
reach club management in case of emergency.
Can club rules be changed after you join?
Colorado Outdoor Sports guarantees rules can only
be changed by a majority of interested members. If you join a club knowing the
rules are compatible with your plans and needs, it would be very unfair to you
if the rules could be changed by a unilateral management decision without your
participation in the vote. Colorado Outdoor Sports will yield its rule making
power to the members, and will take a position that whatever the majority of the
members want, they shall have. Only members can make and change rules,
management is responsible for enforcing compliance of the rules voted in by
members, and sets the prices to compensate for the financial impact rule changes
have on club finances.
How much land do you get to hunt and fish on
the land and how good is it?
Colorado Outdoor Sports will do everything
in our power to insure you always have ample land available, for your
exclusive use, within the areas you want to hunt for the type of game
you want to hunt. We project AWA clubs will have 500,000 acres leased
by the fall 2006 hunting seasons. We believe that the quality of our land
is comparable to any other club. We will work hard to find some great
land, and drop land which is not up to our members standards.
Do you qualify for membership in Colorado
Outdoor Sports?
Colorado Outdoor Sports guarantees you will enjoy
the most liberal family and guest rules, because the rules are made by the
majority of members. Your membership automatically includes all your family
dependents. They are entitled to unlimited hunting, fishing, and camping with
you or any member. Also, each one of your friends can be your guest for 3 days each
year, for hunting all game, and fishing. Daily guest fees are nominal (see our
Membership page for current guest fees). You pay guest fees when you take a
guest, and you dont need to purchase so called guest passes in advance.
Our guest rules are liberal because our members make the rules. Floating
Guest Memberships are also available, so you can take each guest more than 3
days a year, and avoid the daily guest fee.
